National Council for Construction (NCC) is a statutory body governed by the National Council for Construction Act No. 10 of 2020 under the Laws of Zambia. Under this Law, NCC is charged with the responsibility of providing for the promotion, development, training and regulation of the Construction Industry in Zambia. In fulfilling its mandate, NCC undertakes the following activities:
- Registration of contractors;
- Registration of Manufactures and suppliers;
- Registration of Projects;
- Testing of construction materials;
- Conducting research into the use of local construction materials;
- Monitoring of contractors; and
- Capacity building of medium and small scale contractors.
